Hel-loooo, Summer!

PLAYING // 75 and Sunny by Ryan Montbleau. Spotify’s recommended playlists have become a fantastic addition to my editing time. It can get pretty monotonous sitting at the computer for a good chunk of the day, but finding new artists to listen to (free!) while working on sessions has helped me stay focused. ’75 and Sunny’ popped up on one of their playlists I was listening to, and I’ve been hooked ever since. Be sure to look it up on that app – the video I’m linking to above is good, but I like the recorded version better!

GOING // Sam and I went to see Newsies at TPAC last week, and loved it! It was one of my favorite movies as a kid, and kind of still is now. The play was great, but nothing beats a young Christian Bale singing, dancing, and, well, being Christian Bale.

WEARING // My old Birks. I’ve had my pair since high school, just hoping they would come back in style one day. That day has come! (Also, snaps to Kroger for having my favorite flowers on sale last week)

birkenstocks, button flowers, daisies

SIPPING // Nothing exciting, but I have been dipping (see what I did there?) homemade tostones into guacamole! I used this amazing recipe via It’s Me, Charlotte. So, so easy and delicious!

READING // Hugo and Rose. I’ve been in a bit of a book rut the past few weeks, because I can’t seem to find anything that grabs my interest. I had high hopes for Hugo and Rose when I picked it out at the library; a very unique plot, and let’s be honest, I liked the cover. But, it ended up being a pretty depressing read, and those types aren’t my jam. I finished it to see how it would all play out, but…I’m looking forward to finding a better choice next!

Thanks for reading today! I’m linking up with In Residence and Gold and Bloom.
