I am the first to admit that winter is not my season. Least favorite, for sure. However…
I’m trying to use this time for the good. It’s nice to have a bit of a slower season for catching up on things, like working on my business dreams for 2013! I have a few projects I’m mulling over, and will hopefully be sharing them with you soon. In the mean time, thank you for reading today! Enjoy the three things I’m digging so far in the new year:
1 – Golden Globes’ Funniest Moment :: I wasn’t expecting to laugh like I did, but Kristen Wiig and Will Ferrell had the best presentation of the night – for Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy. Their expressions at the beginning are still making me laugh now (yes, by myself…in my office…it’s just that good!). Watch here.
Can I also say that I’ve watched the Golden Globes with friends for the past 5 or so years, and it’s always the best way – ballot competitions (Holly, I’m looking at you) and chocolate goodness is usually involved.
2 – Channeling my inner DIY-er :: I painted my first room yesterday! Well, let me rephrase that…I painted my first non-mission-trip-related room yesterday. On mission trips, the folks in charge always asked us to be careful and take our time, but maturity and gaining more patience made it a bit of a more time-consuming process in my own home. I’m digging the gray (Benjamin Moore Revere Pewter – thank you Pinterest!) that I used; happy to brighten up an all-wood-paneled room. Oh, did I forget to mention the Piece de resistance (insert the funny accent marks over the appropriate letters there)? My door is also now adorned in *chalkboard paint*, and I can’t wait to get some colored chalk in my hands!
3 – Morgan Trinker’s Confidence Post :: I’m always up for an inspirational post, especially this time of year (we’ve already covered my dislike for winter). I’ve read a few that have had good points in the past few weeks, but Morgan’s really hit home with me. Wonderfully written, and can be applied to many personalities/careers….please take a gander here.
Enjoy your Tuesday, and let’s focus on the GOOD!
